I was born Buddhist and believe for many years. I made merit, donated to charity, and meditated regularly. However, as I meditated more frequently, I began to see things that I didn't understand. I was afraid, and I didn't know what to do.
Reasons for Leaving Buddhism
I started to question the existence of ghosts and spirits. I had heard many stories about people who had been haunted by ghosts, even after they had made merit or donated to charity. I also saw how some people would go to great lengths to try to appease ghosts, but with no success.
I also became disillusioned with the concept of reincarnation. I didn't understand how I could be responsible for my actions in a past life if I didn't remember anything about it. I also worried about the possibility of being reborn into a bad situation.
Reasons for Becoming a Christian
After I left Buddhism, I began to explore other religions. I was attracted to Christianity because it offered a clear and concise message of salvation. I also found the idea of a loving God who would forgive my sins to be very appealing.
I started to attend church and read the Bible. I also began to pray and talk to God. After a while, I began to feel a sense of peace and joy that I had never experienced before.
The beginning of a new chapter
I believe that God has been calling me to Himself for many years. I am grateful that He was patient with me and waited until I was ready to hear His message. I am now a Christian, and I am excited to learn more about God and His plan for my life.
